Volunteer Ministers Open Their Yellow Tent in Bologna
The Scientology Volunteer Ministers yellow tent in Bologna is presenting practical tools for helping people in everyday life, where the exhibition will remain through 8 September.
The inauguration brought together around 100 participants, including people who had previously worked alongside the volunteers during emergencies.
Among them was Pianoro Mayor Luca Vecchiettini, who remembered the practical help received by his community following the 2024 floods. Restaurateur Fabrizio Lazzarini also described how volunteers helped clear his mud-covered restaurant.
Andrea Ferrarini, formerly involved with civil protection in Bondeno, also remembered assistance provided after the 2012 earthquakes.
Created in 1976 by Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard, the programme offers practical tools for communication, relationships and problem-solving alongside humanitarian response.
Inside the Bologna tent, visitors can explore photographic exhibits and information about the programme while learning about communication, relationships, study, work and family life.
Ivan Arjona, representative of the Church of Scientology to the EU, OSCE, Council of Europe and UN, described the Bologna initiative as an example of practical solidarity news eu taxonomy and civic responsibility.
The yellow tent shows how the Volunteer Ministers programme combines emergency response with practical help for daily challenges.
